Paint correction
Bathurst.

Paint enhancement and correction for Bathurst vehicles — single stage work available on site, heavier correction booked into the Lithgow workshop.

What's possible on site

Enhancement here. Correction there.

A single stage paint enhancement travels well. Multi stage correction does not — and it's worth understanding why before you book.

Correction work depends entirely on being able to see the paint. Judging defect removal under daylight or a work light means missing haze and buffer trails that only show up under dedicated inspection lighting. For a one stage enhancement — lifting gloss, removing lighter swirls and wash marks — that's an acceptable trade-off in a clean, shaded space. For a two or multi stage correction where we're measuring clear coat and chasing a flawless finish, it isn't.

So we're straight about it: paint enhancement is available mobile in Bathurst, and anything heavier is booked into the workshop 45 minutes away, where the result is worth the drive.

Before & after

What a correction changes.

Taped test section on a black Holden Commodore SSV bonnet, swirled paint then fully corrected — before Taped test section on a black Holden Commodore SSV bonnet, swirled paint then fully corrected — after Before After

This is how correction is actually judged.

A section of the bonnet gets taped off and one side is polished. Same panel, same inspection light, same minute — so what you are looking at is the work, not a different camera angle or a kinder bit of weather.

On the left, the light scatters into a haze because thousands of fine scratches are throwing it in every direction. On the right, the clear coat is level again, so the reflection stays a sharp point. That is the whole job in one photo.

“Could not be happier with the experience. The results speak for themselves. Timely communication and incredible service from start to finish.”

Cody Peters

“I recently bought an 18 year old Hilux that’s been used as a pig hunting rig for its whole life. The interior was filthy. After bringing it to Brayden, it looks and feels like a brand new car. Incredible work, great attention to detail. Would recommend Standout to anyone 5/5”

Zac Robinson

“Brayden is professional and his attention to detail on the full interior & exterior detail on my G Wagon was top tier! I could not be happier with his service and recommend to anyone wanting to get their car detailed with some extra TLC!”

FAQ

Paint correction Bathurst questions.

Paint correction is the process of machine polishing a vehicle's clear coat to remove defects — swirl marks, wash scratches, oxidisation, haze and light scratches. A small, controlled amount of clear coat is levelled so that the surface reflects light evenly again. It is not a filler or a temporary cover-up; the defects are physically removed.

No, and anyone who promises otherwise isn't being straight with you. If a scratch has gone through the clear coat — you can usually catch it with a fingernail — it can't be polished out safely. We measure paint depth and work within what the clear coat can give. Every vehicle gets an honest assessment of what will be removed, what will be improved, and what will still be there afterwards.

Yes. We run a mobile service across Lithgow, Bathurst and the surrounding areas, and we arrive with the full professional kit — all we need on site is a connection to power and water. Some services, particularly ceramic coating, also need a suitable enclosed space, so we confirm that when you book.

Every quote is done per vehicle, because pricing depends on size, condition and the service you're after — a maintenance detail on a well-kept car and a recovery detail on a neglected work ute are very different jobs. Send an enquiry with a few photos and we'll come back with a firm number, usually the same day. There is no obligation and no follow-up campaign if you decide against it.
